One of the tools that we have been using is called a ‘Strut’ Video, where a live presentation is made by a representative on the product, highlighting the features and benefits. There is different ideas as to how this should look, with options between the presentation starting right away or having a ‘play’ button which would initiate the action.

Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. (http://www.greendrinks.org/)

They have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. Come along and you’ll be made welcome. Just say, “are you green?” and they will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.

These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity. There is a local meeting for 6PM Tues Oct 26 2010 at Sonoma Grill and Lounge.

It is really interesting to see the various types of projects our Ceramic InsulCoat Wall product goes on. We will talk about a variety in the next short while, and we would appreciate pictures if any of you are in the area. For example, there is The Portico in West Vancouver. It is a low rise condo building repainted by Sunrise Painting with lots of bright colors.  Looking forward to some pictures!

Thanks for joining us on the very first blog at Envirocoatings.  As we get started, we would like to set the stage on what we expect and how this blog can be a great way to share information, both to us as well as from us.  We will talk about different areas, ranging from general environmental concerns to very specific paint coating application challenges for projects.  Of course, we will leave room for testimonials as well, as that is much sought after by any business, and we certainly have enjoyed many in the past relating to our products which we can share over time.
